MINUTES
SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND AND
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE & FIREMEN PENSION FUND
JULY 27, 2009

A SPECIAL JOINT MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund and the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund was held on Monday, July 27, 2009, in the Senior Center Main Room.

Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Ernestine Yuille Weaver, members of the Board of Trustees of the City Employees Retirement Fund Richard Dalla Valle, Michael Colangelo, Elinor Carbone, Thomas Jerram, Marie Soliani, Drake Waldron, Delisse Locher, Nancy Michna, Joseph Manes, John Schnyer, Mark Kugler, David Prahm and Raymond Drew, members of the Board of Trustees of the Police & Firemen Pension Fund Richard L. Zaharek, James E. Potter, and Christopher H. Cook, Lt. Michael Emanuel,  Lt. Kevin Hayes, Firefighter Edward Delisle, Treasurer Richard Friday, Comptroller Alice Proulx and Personnel Director Thomas Gritt.  

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 6:46 p.m.

HOOKER & HOLCOMBE #84
Shirley Assantes of Hooker & Holcombe, Inc. presented a review of the previously distributed actuarial evaluations for both plans.

FIDUCIARY INVESTMENT ADVISORS, LLC. #920
Anthony Tranghese of FIA presented an Executive Summary of the second quarter of 2009 for both pension plans.

REALLOCATE CITY EMPL. RET. FUNDS #2927
Councilor Jerram made a motion to reallocate 2.5% from fixed into equities split equally over the Eaton Vance Large Cap Value I, the Columbia Marsico Growth Z in one-month intervals over a three month period. It was seconded by Councilor Carbone and unanimously approved.

REALLOCATE POLICE FIRE PENSION FUNDS #3041
Commissioner Potter made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Zaharek, to reallocate 2.5% from fixed into equities split equally over the Eaton Vance Large Cap Value I, the Columbia Marsico Growth Z in one-month intervals over a three month period. The motion was unanimously approved.

ADJOURNMENT #3107
On a motion by Councilor Jerram, seconded by Commissioner Potter, both Boards voted unanimously to adjourn at 8:04 p.m.
